Aberdeen Guide
The city of Aberdeen is a vibrant and modern city which is also known as the
‘Granite City’ because of the large number of granite buildings.
Aberdeen is the third largest city in Scotland with a population
of over 200,000.
Aberdeen is home to one of Scotland’s best football clubs Aberdeen
FC , and also been known as the ‘Flower Capital’ as it has won
the Beautiful Briton in Bloom award 10 times.
Aberdeen is also home to the largest national park in the country,
with visitors being attracted to the park because of the wide range
of its leisure activities from climbing to walking and cycling
or watersports such as canoeing and angling so there is something
for everyone.

The city also comes to life after dark with many popular pubs
and nightlife available throughout the city. One of the most
popular
pubs in Aberdeen is the ‘Prince of Wales’ which features the
longest bar in the city and offers a full range of ales and other
drinks,
but expect a crowd as it is normally packed.
Aberdeen is also a great place to eat out with a thriving restaurant
scene and some great locally owned restaurants, such as The Stage
Door Restaurant where you will find a warm friendly service and
a great menu with something for everyone and a reasonably priced
wine list to boot.
So why not come and see for yourself what Aberdeen has to offer
and you will not be disappointed.
